Canada turned around just in time for you to smother his face with a hug. He dropped Kumajiro as you leaned back, still face-to-face with him. He smiled shyly with a spreading blush on his face, picking the dopey Kumajiro up quickly and stuttering, "H-Hi, [Name]..."
"Want to come up with me to the top of the CN Tower?" You poked his forehead cheekily, smiling like an idiot. He nodded a yes, and said something like "that'd be wonderful" and tailed behind you as you walked towards the looming structure in the distance.
On the way to the tower, you'd bumped into an ice-cream truck. It was pretty plain, but it had all the regular flavors like chocolate, mint, vanilla
and much more. You grinned and dragged a flustered Canada up to the truck's side window, and began chatting with the lady as the two of you picked out your favorite flavors, vanilla and hazelnut.
"It's gonna be five dollars, kiddo." Canada began to reach in his back pocket for his wallet, but you playfully shoved him aside with your elbow and ignored his pained expression as you paid the money, handing his scoop of vanilla to him and licking your own scoop of hazelnut, cheerfully skipping down the street.
"Fuck, I think I dropped my wallet after getting the ice-cream," you burst out loud, digging around in your messenger bag for the wallet you'd been using for a month or so, after you lost the last one. You were in the lobby of the CN Tower, panicking because you actually had to pay to get in the freaking elevator. Stupid stupid stupid, you cursed yourself mentally.
"[N-name], I think I have some money..." came Canada's small voice as he pulled out three hundred Canadian bills, handing them to the impatient cashier. You gawped and blabbered as you tried to say something like, "I was going to pay!" He grinned, pushed his glasses further up on his nose and took your hand as he was the one this time to drag you somewhere.
"The view from here is amazing," you gasped in awe, grabbing a pair of binoculars on the outside part of the CN Tower's viewing port, gawking at the lake view and everything surrounding it. There was a fog rolling in, but it didn't limit your sightseeing. Canada just stood back, watching your amazed expressions with a small blush. The shutter to the binoculars closed on your eyesight, and you leapt down.
"That was a little short, but whatever. Let's go look at the glass floor over there!" You jumped indoors again, Canada following you.
You'd never thought it was that scary being up so high. The sights were great, but this? You watched as Canada strolled up to the transparent floor, and sat down bravely atop everything below him. You could see the traffic streaming, the people walking... But they were all so small, and what if the floor just collapsed?
"Hey, [Name], come over here with me!" Canada said, a bit louder than usual with a grin. You shook your head quickly, sweatdropping and backing away. Your friend noticed your fear, and stood up, walking over to you.
"[Name], are you scared of heights?" Canada-kun said to you quietly, Kumajiro clinging to his head precariously. "It's alright! There's nothing to be afraid of. This is my country, and I'm making sure everything's safe around here!" You gulped, but buffed up and nodded. There isn't anything to be afraid of, especially when Canada was here. Sure, he wasn't as outgoing or explosive as either of you or America, but it didn't mean he wasn't brave. Even America had times where he had to be scared, and looking at you now... well, you were obviously scared to pieces.
"Here. Take small steps... Wait, you know what? Just look at me the entire time, and..."
You stared him in the eyes, your face getting hot as you looked away for just a little bit. Ta-da! You were on the glass floor, and it felt like you were standing in midair. Canada sighed a breath of relief, glad you didn't flip out or anything.
"Y-you did it, [Name]!"
"Thanks, Canada-kun!" You pulled him into a rib-crushing hug, and watched as he choked.
"Wah, sorry! Canada, are you alright?!"
