"Get down from that tree this instant! That's an order, [Name]!"
"Bitte… You're going to get hurt!"
"No!" You bitterly sat in the tree, hugging your knees to yourself as you sat in the tallest branch of the large maple tree in your backyard. You were slightly startled as a small gust made the tree wave slightly, but secured yourself as you scowled down at Ludwig. He had worry reflecting in his sky-blue eyes, and his hair was slightly messed up. You turned your face away and stared at the city lights as the sky faded to a deep purple-blue hue.
"[Name], please get down!"
What had happened earlier to cause you to climb a towering maple tree? You thought back to what had happened…
You were sketching in your sketchbook. Tiny little doodles littered the oversized paper; some were chibis, some were full sized-figures. Your mechanical scratched away intently as you focused on getting the eyebrows of the person you were drawing right. Actually, you were only drawing this person with maybe some chibis of you of the fun times you had with him.
You sighed, slightly tired as you crossed your arms and stopped drawing. Then you lowered your head down into your crossed arms, kicked the quilt further up onto your back and were going to nap, but you were startled when a large hand landed on your head gently.
"These drawings are sort of cute," a voice said gruffly. You turned your head and you could feel your heart stopping when you saw him grin slightly. Stupid Ludwig, he forgot to knock again! The first time around was bad enough, when you were changing—but this is worse, right?
"I told you, you have to knock," you shouted. "How many times do I have to tell you?"
Ludwig put up his hands slightly and backed off. "Sorry, fraulein…"
Then he squinted hard at your drawings.
"[Name], are these all chibis of me and you?"
You were really flustered now. Crap, he can tell!
"Go away," you said, burying your face into your pillow.
"Fine, then I will!" You jumped out of your covers as Ludwig jumped backward, surprised.
You closed your eyes and tipped your head back slightly, breathing in deeply. You then looked down and saw that Ludwig was pacing back and forth beneath the tree, hands on his hips. You couldn't help but grin, but just then a flock of geese passed by overhead. You watched them until they headed behind you, but was shocked as they blew out of line.
You even have time to scream as the strong autumn gale tore past you, causing you to fall.
You put your arms protectively around you for the few seconds you scraped against other branches; leaves swirled around you as you watched the purple sky disappear within the branches above you. You could hear Ludwig shout something unintelligible, just before you blacked out.
"…Mmmnh?" You rubbed your eyes and winced at the pain in your arms and legs. You were going to sit up, but your hand touched… hair?
Shoot! You jumped up as you realized you were sitting on an unconscious Ludwig. You shook him and shouted in his ear, and were about to get a bucket of water when he grumbled and sat up, his hair now really messed up.
"Schisse… Ow. [Name], are you alright?!"
You nodded once, before you started crying as you tried to wipe away your tears with your sleeve.
"Don't do anything stupid like that again, okay?" Ludwig said softly as he applied another Band-Aid to one of your many scrapes. You nodded sullenly as you got into bed, and Ludwig turned out the lights. Then he came back and brushed the hair from your forehead away, and kissed you gently. You jumped slightly, but you could tell he was blushing too.
You grinned and replied, "Okay."
